On 27 July, MacArthur Foundation announced that the Africa Transitional Justice Legacy Fund (ATJLF) is among thirty-seven (37) organizations receiving the Equitable Recovery grants under the Racial Justice Field Support. Today, we’re extremely excited to inform you all that we have been awarded $3M (three million dollars) to implement a three-year project to advance reparative justice and racial healing initiatives in Africa. This new grant will enable the ATJLF to convene, moderate and advance trans-continental conversations between Africa-based organizations and black-led organizations and groups in the US on the twinned but different themes of reparations and racial healing.
