Marr Nyang of Gambia Participates, outlined how their ATJLF-funded project has contributed to bringing the issue of land corruption and communal land dispossession to the fore of The Gambia’s transitional justice discourse. “Through our participatory video approach, we enabled victims of Jammeh’s land grabbing to share their testimonies and draw attention to their plights. The advocacy will continue, to ensure that socio-economic rights issues get the needed attention in transitional justice response efforts in The Gambia."
