Pelumi is an international development professional whose experience spans advocacy, policy design, communications, research, and advocacy. Pelumi has worked extensively across Sub-Saharan Africa. In her immediate past engagement at the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD West Africa), she led and supported projects and initiatives on the elections in Nigeria, transitional justice, and engagement with key stakeholders in development, peace and security. She was one of the lead consultants that worked on a study to map the potential of transitional justice in Nigeria’s Northwest.

A prolific writer and storyteller with full bilingual capacities in French and English, Pelumi is an outstanding Communications for Development specialist. In her engagement as a Communications Specialist with DAI Global LLC on the Feed the Future Senegal Policy Systems Services Project, she led on communications product development and management. Her work with DAI comes on the heels of similar roles with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the West Africa Think Thank. Pelumi’s writings have been published by the Institute of Security Studies, Premium Times, Daily Trust among others.

Founder of Teens Going for Gold Network, an organization that provides teenagers across Nigeria with 21st century relevant learning experiences, Oluwapelumi is also Co-Founder of Social Good Lagos, a UN-Foundation backed not-for-profit that explores the potentials of technology and new media to accelerate the attainment of the SDGs in Nigeria.
